COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

ABOUT

Allison Navarro

MA UKCP MBACP

Hello and welcome.  I am an experienced and registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, with a belief that we all have an inherent capacity - and desire -  for growth and personal fulfilment.  Given the right environment, we can help what is already healthy within us to grow and flourish.

There can be many different reasons to turn to therapy and I build relationships with my clients which bring warmth and are empowering and healing.

I am a fully accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Psychotherapy from the University of Middlesex. I am a UKCP Registered Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist and a member of BACP.  I also hold diplomas in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I am committed to regular Supervision and to my own Continuing Professional Development, which helps me to keep abreast of current psychological thinking and research.   I am also employed on a Locum basis to provide Counselling to young adults in a University Student Counselling Service.

I work from a peaceful converted Victorian washhouse in my garden, surrounded by flowers and greenery.  Whatever challenges you are currently facing, I offer a safe and nurturing space where we can talk and explore together what is happening, and where you will feel supported and understood.

THE MOST COMMON REASONS FOR SEEKING THERAPY ARE:
The sense of something missing or something
'not quite right'
Unhelpful patterns which seem to repeat themselves
Depression
and/or Anxiety
Yearning for personal fulfilment
Emptiness & Meaninglessness
Dissatisfaction in relationships with others

Therapy is a nurturing conversation.

I believe we hold the answers within ourselves; talking to a trusted therapist can help us find those answers and make the changes we most desire.
